The NewsHouse is a Syracuse University website ran by students. It is a major source of information on the happening and news around the Syracuse University campus. Arbor Web Development was contracted by McCormick & Winter, a Drupal and web development shop located in Truckee, California, to add some Google Maps functionality to the existing News House website.

In the end, students could add a map to a particular article in place of the standard image that most of the content on the site has, and replace that with an interactive Google Maps embedded map. The idea of this feature was to allow students to find events and locations easier around campus.

This project was mainly a development project, but did include some theming to get the map to show up similar to how the images for the content show up. Overall the project was a great success and the site can now integrate maps with other content.
